How it works

• Type a message using either text-to-speech software installed on a PC or by using a speech-generating-device (SGD).  Click "View Demo" tab above or continue reading below.

• Dial the number (or using an automatic screendialer) of the party to be called

• When the called party answers, “play” the voice audio generated by the typed text from the PC or SGD  

 

• The synthesized voice audio goes from the SGD or PC through the audio connector  into The Speech Assistant

• The Speech Assistant sends the audio directly and instantly through a different audio connector into the cordless telephone or cell phone

• Both sides of the call are heard through the provided headset for a completely private and quiet call.

• A telephone (landline, VOIP, cordless or cellular phone) with a 2.5 mm headset jack     *Please note: The Speech Assistant is guaranteed to work with any digital telephone with a 2.5mm headjack, however, it may or may not work with your cell phone.  If that is your primary concern, then you should let us ship one to you for a free trial.
