How it works
- Type a message using either text-to-speech software installed on a PC or by using a speech-generating-device (SGD). Click "View Demo" tab above or continue reading below.
- Dial the number (or use an automatic screendialer) of the party to be called
- When the called party answers, “play” the voice audio generated by the typed text from the PC or SGD
- The synthesized voice audio goes from the SGD or PC through the audio connector into The SpeechAssistant
- The SpeechAssistant sends the audio directly and instantly through a different audio connector into the cordless telephone or cell phone
- Both sides of the call are heard through the provided headset for a completely private and quiet call.

- A telephone (landline, VOIP, cordless or cellular phone) with a 2.5 mm headset jack *Please note: The SpeechAssistant is guaranteed to work with any digital telephone with a 2.5mm headjack, however, it may or may not work with your cell phone. If that is your primary concern, then you should let us ship one to you for a free trial.
- Text-to-speech engine on a PC or SGD - Software is included: (on CD): Etriloquist and DSpeech.
- Synthesized voice(s). Cepstral voices are available for Windows, Linux (i386, x64, x86), Sparc Solari, i386 Solaris, and MAC
